What you'll accomplish

You'll have a searchable Notion workspace storing your team's contract knowledge: precedent decisions, clause explanations, vendor history, and process notes. Notion AI will answer questions like "have we dealt with this limitation of liability approach before?" and "what's our standard position on IP ownership?"

This solves the institutional memory problem: when experienced staff leave, their knowledge usually leaves with them. This system captures and makes it searchable.

What you'll need

  • Notion account (notion.so; free plan works, Plus plan $8/month unlocks AI)
  • Notion AI enabled (available as an add-on or on Plus plan)
  • 45–60 minutes for initial setup
  • Time needed: 45–60 minutes to build; 5–10 minutes per entry going forward
  • Cost: Notion Plus $8/month per user; Notion AI add-on $8/month per member

Step 1: Create a Notion account

Go to notion.so and sign up for a free account. If your team plans to share this workspace, each user needs an account.

Upgrade to Plus ($8/month) to get Notion AI features. You can also add AI to a free workspace for an additional $8/month per user.
